We prefer someone who lives in Toronto, Ontario or the surrounding areas, but we will consider a web programmer who lives anywhere in North America. I'm sorry, but applicants from outside North America are not welcome. It's just too far away for communication purposes.
This small company is seeking an independent web programmer to work with us on several projects part time some of which are for adults only & will have "adult only" content, but are not porn sites. So the bottom line is, you have to be very open minded across the board otherwise you will have problems working with these projects & our personalities.
No investment is required, just your time, skillset & your willingness to build up the company.
We want someone with the following mindset

you have enough time to spend on each project even if this is part time.

This position pays commissions based on what the site pulls in. You will also be paid per project for any additional contracts the company looks after for each of our already existing clients, so there is more then one way to make money here.

To recap, this is a commission based independent contractor's position similar to a partnership. We will be developing e-commerce sites which is why we are seeking a partner & not hiring an employee or contractor.
We ask that you have working knowledge of most of the following

CGI/Pearl
Can code & troubleshoot for both browsers.
Has developed at least 2-3+ e-commerce sites from start to finish including the shopping carts.
Has knowledge of security for sites against hackers & viruses especially if you work with Microsoft. This is why we prefer someone with a Unix/Linux knowledge & experience.
Knows how to code Flash from scratch after the graphic web designer submitts their work.
Programming a database in anything other then Access.
How to develop an affiliate program.
How to develop an automated e-mail mailing list.
Excellent knowledge of the net & would prefer someone who is very knowledgeable with search engines, spiders, meta tags & keywords, marketing etc.
If you know PDF conversions & e-book security, that is a bonus
If you have some business experience, that is also a bonus
Your work will be the property of the company.
You must have a portfolio of work you have completed yourself, NOT with members of another team.
Some of the Job Requirements
You as the web programmer set your own hours working from your own home on your own equipment computer with your own software as long as you get the job done by the deadline.
You will be working in conjunction with me, the project manager & the graphic web designer & eventually we will add more support staff down the road as the company grows.
Even though you would be a semi partner in the company, your responsibilities are strictly for maintaining the technical side of the site & possibly some light marketing. Of course new ideas are always welcome by any person in the team.
The other partners are responsible for their job descriptions & we are not looking for someone who is going to interfere with other people's responsibilities.
This partnership opening is available immediately, so please do not respond if you do not have free time to dedicate. Let's role up our sleeves, make some money & have some fun while we are at it.

Interview process
After you are properly interviewed via e-mail & you sign a non disclosure agreement, the business plan will be carefully explained to you by phone so you can make an educated decision as to whether you are interested in reading more.
For those of you who are unaware of how business is done, no businessperson ever divulges a new business consept to potential partners before a non comp/disclosure is signed.
If we decide we are going to work together, then a full working contract will be signed at a later date.
